Mendham Chester Field Hockey Club offers a welcoming and supportive enviroment for young athletes to learn and grow within the sport of field hockey.  Our club welcomes all kids within our age range who live in the Mendhams and Chesters.   We will have 3 age groups in 2026.  Based on the number of girls, we will organize multiple teams within an age group.  

Our program is made up entirely of volunteers.  100% of our registration fees ($140 / athlete) are used to support the activities of the club (field, equipment, officials, etc).  As a community based organization, we thrive on participation from our parents and friends.  Please consider donating your time to help club. 

Our program and league follow USA Field Hockey guidelines to provide a fun experience for younger girls and transitioning toward competitive games in later years.  We try our best to follow the guidelines below:

• 3rd / 4th grade team - Equal playing time for everyone, no set positions, goal of each game is to have fun and learn.
• 5th / 6th grade team - Everyone plays but playing time might be slightly weighted, positions are being established, goal of each game is to begin to expereince competition while having everyone play and grow. 
• 7th / 8th grade team  - Everyone will play in each game, but playing time will not be equal, positions are established, goal of game is to provide a competitive enviroment for the girls to develop as a team and indivudals.
